Party with a Plot (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates partywithaplot.com and offers downloadable group experiences, including The Return Signal. We are based in Ontario, Canada. This policy describes how information is handled in connection with our website, customer support and purchases.
Information we collect
When you purchase, Payhip and its payment providers may process your name, email address, purchase, payment amount, currency, transaction reference and any tax/location information necessary for fulfillment. We may receive purchase information needed for customer service, refunds and accounting. When you contact us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. Website and checkout infrastructure may process basic IP addresses, device/browser data and security or access logs.
We do not ask you to submit payment card details to our website or by support email. Please do not email card numbers, government identification or sensitive information.
How we use information
We use personal information to fulfill purchases, provide files and receipts, answer questions, resolve download or payment issues, protect against abuse and comply with applicable legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Checkout and third parties
Purchase links take you to Payhip, which manages hosted checkout and download fulfillment. Your payment may be processed by an available payment provider such as Stripe or PayPal, subject to the methods actually offered at checkout. Those providers maintain their own privacy practices and may process data in other countries. Our website does not receive or store full payment-card numbers. The static site's hosting provider may process normal security and access logs.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our current website does not include Meta Pixel, third-party ad retargeting, a newsletter signup or optional analytics scripts. Standard hosting infrastructure may still use essential security technologies. When you follow the purchase link, Payhip's separate website and its payment partners may use cookies or other technologies under their own notices and choices. If we later add nonessential measurement or advertising cookies on this site, we will update this policy and provide consent choices where required.
Email communications
We may send transactional communications about your order or response to a support question. We do not add customers to a marketing email list through this website or treat a purchase as consent to promotional messages.
Sharing and international processing
We share information only as reasonably necessary with payment, digital fulfillment, hosting and email service providers, or where legally required. Providers may store or process information outside Canada, including jurisdictions with different legal protections.
Retention and security
Order and payment-related records are retained for as long as reasonably needed for tax/accounting, chargeback handling, disputes and applicable obligations. Support correspondence is kept for as long as reasonably needed to assist customers and maintain business records, then deleted or de-identified where practical. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service is completely risk-free.
Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may ask what personal information we hold, request corrections, or raise privacy concerns. Information that must be kept for lawful recordkeeping may not be deletable immediately. For checkout data controlled independently by Payhip or a payment provider, you may need to contact those providers directly.
For privacy requests, email support@partywithaplot.com. If an issue is unresolved, you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada where relevant.
Children's privacy
Our website is intended for people arranging private party experiences. We do not knowingly solicit personal data from children under 13. Contact us if you think a child has provided personal information.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy when our website or practices change, and the effective date above will reflect the current version. Party with a Plot, Ontario, Canada. Contact: support@partywithaplot.com.
